Summary: Sawyer stays broken. Jack gets his fix.

Title: With or Without You (I can't live)
Disclaimer: Not mine. Only responsible for their fictional corruption.
Fandom: Lost
Pairing: Jack/Sawyer
Warning: My own world again, slightly reminiscent of the canon one.
Summary: Boone was just another thing that can't be happening, in this place that always seems to provide the impossible.
A/N: For the ever-lovely Queen [info]halfdutch, who wanted "Boone" action. This is J/S and sort of angsty in the end, but I hope it works.

Jack is silent, scared, like it is the first time he's seen a ghost, not another time in a long line of same shit different day. )

Title: Only You (And you can hear me)
Disclaimer: Not mine. Only responsible for their fictional corruption.
Fandom: Lost
Pairing: Jack/Juliet
Warning: Written from an early Juliet perspective.
Summary: There have been so many come easy and go the hard way.
A/N: For the wondrous Queen [info]elise_509, who wanted "the women of Lost". And God help me I tried to write Juliet/Jack. *holds on for dear life*

The man she finds in Ben's carefully chosen cage is someone much more complicated, someone much more capable. He can save Ben, but Juliet looks in his eyes and doesn't want him to stop there. )

Title: If You Told Me (you were drowning)
Disclaimer: Not mine. Only responsible for their fictional corruption.
Fandom: Lost
Pairing: Jack/Sawyer
Warning: Who knows when this takes place. My own world most likely.
Summary: Seconds feel like hours and a minute like years in the hottest part of hell before that happens. Before the cough, spit, rush of breath, brings salt water and tears.
A/N: For the illustrious Queen [info]astra2104, who wanted "ice".

Sawyer feels like ice, but Jack focuses instead of the hot feel of sand beneath his knees, the taste of warmth and irrational hope on Sawyer's lips, the steady movement of chest compressions, the mimic of a heart that is far stronger than any merciless ocean. )

Fandom: Veronica Mars
Title: Echoes Through the Phone
Characters: Lilly, Veronica, Logan
Spoilers: Season one
Summary: Lilly chose her best friend to avenge her murder, and Veronica got everything wrong.
A/N: Lilly Kane was awesome, and Rob Thomas sucks. Many thanks to [info]miss_vacant and [info]amj58 for the betas.

Look, Veronica. I know you’re really busy and stuff, but I was murdered here and I’d like to be avenged one of these days. )

You are a Clueless Uke!

Having a good time is what you're all about. You're satisfied just to have someone to eat hamburgers and play video games with, and are completely oblivious to other's manipulative behavior. You don't expect much, and that can be a good thing. You're perfect prey for the Opportunist Seme, who might take advantage of you, but you probably won't even notice, or really care, as long as you're enjoying yourself.

Most compatible with: Opportunist Seme, Romantic Seme

Least compatible with: Sadistic Seme, Don't Fuck With Me Seme

Decided to follow in Kim's footsteps and took that quiz =P.

Also, Avatar was EFFING godly.

Guess I'll have to get back to the Brawl instead! :D

Shiny weekend with Jenn, nice food, and trip to the random carnival by the SECC after helping Nick move far too much stuff into his new flat. Also, Wall-e is the cutest thing ever.

Looks like Tutu costumes are the winning vote for the Ame masquerade! Must learn ballet…

At the moment, stripes on my Anemone dress are driving me mad. I’m somehow making this far more difficult than it has any right to be... Also, any advice on turning my eyebrows pink? I came across some pink mascara, which I thought would be a good bet, but my main problem is covering up my dark brows in the first place. Would it be best to completely cover them first, then draw on pink ones, or is there something I could just use to colour them straight away? If it’s going to involve a lot of effort, I’m probably not bothering! Ideally, I want this to be a simple costume to just throw on.

the pages where we finally meet, are dog-earred and incomplete
So here is the situation:

Day three temp job 2
------------------------

This place is not near the cakewalk the last place was. For starters - there is nothing to do. Zilch. Nada. I don't even have phones to answer. I spent day two reading "Brave New World" marking all the important vocab words for my niece's upcoming school year. Today I've had a total of two hours worth of spreadsheet making, now it's back to staring at the walls.

I could be writing (catching up) Luau fic - but noooo. The staffing agency sent two of us. So if I start writing my weird cohort starts asking questions and interrupting my process. *sigh*

Home life
----------------------

I'm currently Arwen's main caregiver. Her mom is in Russia and Jason, as usual, is preoccupied. As a result I'm having to stay in enemy territory and also feed/keep alive her dogs and birds and fish. Arwen is fourteen so she is doing most of the work but --- that house is covered in art largely influenced by Paradise Lost. I don't have the codes to access the wireless network. And one of her dog's is twice my size and ATE MY HEROES BOXSET.

What did I do to deserve this?

In Weekend and other Weird news
--------------------------------

Yes I did see Dark Knight. (raises attendance roll call hand like flisters before me) And Hellboy 2 for a second time. I also am currently being stalked by a plotbunny demanding carrots and SYTYCD fic.

Feel free to judge me.

Luau
------------------------
I've written [info]halfdutch's and [info]slybrunette's fic. The typing is all. Now I've got to think about the girls of Lost and ice. Right?

Hopefully I'll get that done before I'm so far behind I can't see the finish line. Maybe I can steal some wireless tonight. Eat at Krystals or something. ;)

F.Y.I
-------------------------

I'll be reading and commenting today at least (unless the boss finds me something to do.) Bear with me, my darlins.

Life Imitates Art Imitates Depressing Blues Music?
Woke up this morning at about 6am. Went through into the living room and found a dead bird in the middle of the living room.

Just think about that for a moment. A dead bird, in the middle of the room.

That's not normal, is it.

It couldn't have been there long, otherwise Bart would've been chewing on it. Well, assuming he actually knew what to do with it. He'll chase after the occasional moth, but we're talking about a cat who prefers bottle caps and scrunched up paper to play with, rather than catnip toys.

My best guess is that somehow it managed to get into the attic and found its way in through the hole in the living room ceiling, since my next best guess ends up turning into the start of a horror movie (if you've seen or read The Dark Half by Stephen King, you'll know where I'm going with this), and much as I would like to think otherwise, unless I've got some serious Mojo hidden within me, I'm just not really equipped to deal with Eldritch Cosmic Horrors here. Either that, or we're getting deeply into Bad Sign territory here, and I think I'm less well equipped to deal with those.

On a hopefully more cheerful note, I emptied my change jar the other day and found close on £40 in it. So I did the natural thing and bought myself a new 500gig external. Add my three externals and two internal hard drives together and I'm now part of the Terrabite Club. Apparently, this puts me well on the way to making the internet my bitch. Undecided on a name for the new arrival - at least one person tells me I should name it Toph, but I dunno yet. Already downloaded Adobe Premiere and a new set of Evangelion episodes to celebrate - I'm determined to actually do something with them this time. Here's hoping they don't have hard-encoded subtitles.

Also, anyone know a good place to buy posters online or, better yet, get your own printed up for a reasonable price? Been meaning to get some more for my room for a while, but never actually done anything about it. And you know me, when I'm in the mood to do something, my focus on it makes Bill Door's scythe look as sharp as a donut.

Also happy belated birthday to [info]icysarcasm and [info]scorpy. And you thought I'd forgotten, silly Lindsay...

Edit: and Persona 3 FES has been announced for a European release in October. Numfar! Do the Dance of Joy!

That was a phenomenal finale.  I am glad none of you were here to see me fanboy-up, it was not pleasant, but it was joyful, so very very joyful.  Again the fight scenes had clever twists to everyone's abilities (although why Katara doesn't blood-bend more often is beyond me....wuss), all loose ends were tied up (minus Zuko's mother, where the smallest hint of a 4th season was placed) and again the animation and choreography was top quality.

It's a travesty that Avatar hardly got shown on Nickelodeon because some twat in a suit wanted to play 6 hours of Spongebob Bawjaws a day instead.  With the right marketing and timeslot surely a show like this could have become a hit with the younger generation (and us older ones)?  Regardless I'm glad I started watching it, it was a hell of a ride and it just goes to show there is hope for western cartoons yet!  BRING ON THE GOOD OLD DAYS!

And this is why I don't belong to any fandoms
But the thing I am most ashamed of and most regretful of is how I treated someone who means more to me than anything this world has to offer, than my family, than my own life. And that is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is the biggest confession of all, and it comes from my heart. Avatar became my number one priority, and my family and God became my last priorities.

...

But because it ended in Kataang, I have come to this point of brokenness much faster. And that is why I praise the Lord today. He knows what’s best, and for some reason, I had this feeling in my heart that this show wouldn’t end the way I wanted it to. And now, after seeing it end as it did, I’m glad for it. I’m better off for it. It’s woken me up to what I’ve done, how I’ve prioritized my life, and how I’ve fallen from the path I was set out on.

What. The. Fuck.

"Sit by the firelight's glow, tell us an old tale we know..."
Not long back from my birthday festivities. So what happens when you take a Glasgow born lad with all the love of the highlands and the countryside in his veins down to London?

He has an awesome time watching one of THE BEST musicals ever created. Seriously, the Lord of the Rings Musical left me jaw-dropping, speechless and awe-inspired. It was just so beautiful and magical. I mean come on, it was a musical where half the songs had fiddles and penny whistles in the background, whats not to love?

Seriously though, me and my dad both agree, the set design and mechanics were tremendous, the actors themselves all had fabulous voices, the costumes were wonderful and my word, the songs. There are no words for how good the songs were, I loved it that much, I came back home with the Programme, Poster and the Soundtrack. Which I'm listening too right now ^^.

When I asked my dad the question what was better, Les Misreables (which he has seen live) or Lord of the Rings, he couldn't pick. Very high praise indeed.

But other than that our little London tour was fun too, went to the V&A Museum where I learned all sorts about Tea Ettiquette, as well as actually trying on a Knight's Gauntlet and seeing wonderful pieces of artwork. Some of those Stone Sculptures are truly amazing, a huge column depicting stories of all sorts is about twenty feet high, and so very intricate... made in 113 AD, how the heck did they manage that I'll never know.

Sadly afterwards we went to Kings Cross, which I wasn't too impressed with, I thought that maybe one of the major Train Stations in London would actually have things around, there was a McDonald's, a WHSmith and a porn shop (Named the Pirate Bookstore, I thought Pirates? Books? Can't go wrong there! Yes, you can go VERY wrong) thats really it.

So stayed there for a while before catching the Train back home, oh and I also finished George RR Martin's 'A Feast For Crow's' and cannot wait for the next book, I loved it, yet I felt this one was probably his weakest, for the sole reason that all my favourite characters are in the next one. But a fantastic book nonetheless, extremely gripping.

But yes, a fantastic time all round ^^! A hearty thank you to all those wishing me birthday wishes whether it be on lj, by text or by phone! <3
